I was reading some parenting tips sent home with my children from school yesterday. The booklet reccommended having your kids start a collection of some sort.
I never did this with my kids. Its such a good idea. It gives them something interesting to say about themselves when meeting new people. and its just fun. My grandma used to do this with me a lot.
I cant think of anything good for them. (boys - 5 and 10 ).
I know theres stamps, rocks, postcards, stickers............... but I want something really fun.
I already asked Mr. Google for some help, but he gave me nothing.
I need some ideas!

My 8 year old daughter collects bouncy balls. She thinks it is great and she keeps them all in a locked box so the younger kids can't get them). I don't mind it because it doesn't take up much room, it's cheap and it's different.
So, there's an idea for ya.
get a small canister or cookie jar. then label it blessings.
every time something wonderful happens in your child's life,
or your families,
write it down
so it is easy to
remember.
then put it in the jar.
on bad days or days your child is a lil icky,
or even just for nothing,
open it up and read about the goodness of our Lord in our lives.
Blessings sometimes are in the littlest things.
you would be surprised at how a
little one
see's God in everything.
So, start collecting Blessings.
Just a thought.
Blessings Abundantly
